Camp + Climb is heading back to Rifle, Co on July

Camp + Climb is heading back to Rifle, Co on July 28-30!!

Our Camp + Climb weekends are organized to provide space for all women and gender queer climbers to get climbing education, practice mindfulness and fear management techniques, and to connect with themselves and each other. These weekends are fulfilling on many levels 💜

ALL levels of climbers are welcome as we will split into groups to accommodate the various levels.

You can expect a great weekend of climbing, camaraderie, creek dips, star gazing, fire side convos and games.

As with all of our events, we are offering this weekend on a sliding scale between $430-550. Payment plans are offered but you have to reach out to chelsea@shesendscollective.com or DM us to get that set up.

Intro to Multi-pitch with She Sends!

Colorado has so many areas to get up higher than a single “pitch,” and these are the walls that often catch people’s eyes! Multi-pitch climbing is like climbing all the single pitches stacked on top of one another - so you don’t go back to the ground after every climb. You can do 2 pitch climbs, many pitch climbs like in RMNP or “big walls” like in Yosemite!

This clinic covers the below topics and will help prepare you for summer adventures getting up high! Our June clinic is available for 2 participants and will take place only on June 24. Our august date is open for 4 participants and will be a 2-day clinic.

—lead belaying and top down belaying
—efficient leader switch overs
—advanced rope management
—rope drag reduction technique
—and more…

‼️ALL of our outdoor educational clinics are offered on a sliding scale so that we can provide affordable quality education to self identifying women and gender queer climbers. Students can choose to pay as little as $140 or as much as $350. Scholarships are available to those who need further assistance‼️

If you want to take your indoor skills to the outd

If you want to take your indoor skills to the outdoors, then I really believe it’s important to learn those skills in an outdoor setting. Learning to lead in general (how to clip, how to belay, what a back clip is, etc) is great indoors. But leading outdoors adds a different layer of complexity to the equation…

Lots of gyms are offering Intro to Outdoor Leading right now, but are doing so in an indoor setting. And well it’s just NOT the same, no matter how you spin it.

Seeing and learning these layers of complexity on real rock is invaluable, and will ultimately make you a much better leader and partner.

We have three Intro to Outdoor clinics coming up:

✳️ July 22 with @becca.droz

✳️ August 12 with @talesbyari

All lead skill levels are welcome and the clinic will cover:

-learning how to assess and mitigate risk
-learn how to become a better lead belayer
-mock lead routes OR lead routes if you have history in leading already
-learn how to fall appropriately
-rope management as a climber
-building and cleaning simple single pitch anchors

The max ratio for this clinic is 4:1
